After graduating from the University of Glamorgan with a degree in Sports Psychology I got a summer job working in a Pro-Shop at a club in Herefordshire. It was a small team which meant that I had to be very much part of the day to day running of the business, and I quickly came to find that I enjoyed it.

The Open 2016

Burhill, for the next five years, is a regional qualifying venue for the British Open.

On the 20th June we will see a host of hopefuls trying their luck to qualify for what is the greatest golf show on earth, the 145th Open at Royal Troon.

Redbourn Golf Club Hosts Pink Buggy for Breast Cancer Care

A unique, bright pink buggy was seen on the fairways of Redbourn Golf Club at the end of April as golfers were able to hire the car in support of Breast Cancer Care. From the 25th of April, players were able to hire the specially coloured electric buggy for their rounds, with all proceeds being donated to the charity.

The pink Club Car arrived in time for a full schedule of Ladies’ events at the club, including a Macmillan charity cup tournament, interclub Ladies match against Aldwickbury, and a designated Ladies day.

Tim Good Named New General Manager at Thornbury Golf Centre

Bristol-based Thornbury Golf Centre, one of ten U.K. BGL Golf venues, announces the appointment of Tim Good as its new General Manager.

Tim joins Thornbury with a wealth of experience in golf, including time spent in senior roles at a variety of highly-regarded establishments across the country, including a top-100 resort.

The addition of such an experienced figure signals the centre’s continued commitment to providing the very best golfing experience for members and visitors alike.
